Game Story

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. – Artem Svishchev and Gleb Ivanov scored a minute apart midway through the third period to break open a tie game and send Russia to a 4-2 win over Canada White in pre-tournament action Thursday ahead of the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. Vsevolod Gaidamak and Matvei Nadvorniy also found the back of the net for the Russians in the final frame after a power-play goal from Dylan Guenther (Edmonton, Alta./Edmonton, WHL) had given the Canadians an advantage after 40 minutes.
