The 66 Canadians are set for the 2019 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Medicine Hat, Alta., and Swift Current, Sask., so let’s take a look at a few facts and figures:

1 – player who did not receive an invite to Canada’s national under-17 development camp in July (Olen Zellweger)

4 – players drafted first overall in their respective CHL drafts (Dylan Guenther – Edmonton, WHL, 2018; Joshua Roy – Saint John, QMJHL, 2019; Matthew Savoie – Winnipeg, WHL, 2019; Shane Wright – Kingston, OHL, 2019)

14 – points (in 10 games) for Zachary L’Heureux; the Moncton Wildcats forward has six goals and eight assists to lead all Canadians who cracked the U17 roster, two points up on Cole Sillinger (5-7—12 in 11 GP).

14 – players who helped Quebec win the gold medal at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alta. (William Blackburn, Zachary Bolduc, Olivier Boutin, Nathan Gaucher, Jacob Guévin, Zachary L’Heureux, James Malatesta, Olivier Nadeau, Maxime Pellerin, Guillaume Richard, Justin Robidas, William Rousseau, Joshua Roy, Dovar Tinling)

24 – players from Ontario, more than any other province (Quebec – 18; Alberta – 8; B.C. – 4; Nova Scotia – 4; Manitoba – 3; New Brunswick – 2; Saskatchewan – 2; Newfoundland & Labrador – 1)

47 – Canadian Hockey League teams, out of 60, represented with players or prospects (OHL – 20/20; QMJHL – 14/18; WHL – 13/22); the Olympiques de Gatineau (QMJHL), Remparts de Québec (QMJHL), Seattle Thunderbirds (WHL), Cataractes de Shawinigan (QMJHL) and Foreurs de Val-d’Or (QMJHL) have three apiece
