Quotes:
“One of the big takeaways is that it’s going to a be a battle right to the end and it’s going to be competitive. I think both teams match up well against each other and we can expect a battle moving forward. Tonight, specifically, the takeaway is that we have to be much more selective on the type of penalties we take. We can’t take the penalties that cost us, giving them a chance to win.”
- Head coach Troy Ryan (Spryfield, N.S.) on needing to be more disciplined

“It was a momentum swing and that one wasn’t in our favour, but I think we were happy with the chances we generated on the power play. Obviously we’d like to get one. We kind of measure success with our power play if we’re gaining momentum for our team. We needed to find a way to get one tonight and we didn’t. We’re a team that doesn’t try to ride the emotional ups and downs of a game and tries to keep plugging away, and we believed until the last couple of seconds that we had a chance.”
- Jenner on not capitalizing on the power play

“It was obviously a very special night for me, I had lots of family and friends in the building. I grew up coming to this building watching the [Ottawa] 67’s so it was definitely a special night. We would have liked to win, but I couldn’t have asked for a better group to share the moment with and it was pretty special.
- Jamie Lee Rattray (Kanata, Ont.) on playing in front of her hometown crowd
