BRAMPTON, Ont. – With just over a week until the puck drops at the 2023 IIHF Women’s World Championship, hockey fans in Ontario 18 years of age or older can join the growing excitement for the tournament by purchasing tickets for the Women’s Worlds 50/50, driven by CAA Insurance, from anywhere in the province.

There are six jackpots to be won throughout the tournament, as well as 11 early-bird prizes, which are headlined by five chances to win tickets to the sold-out gold medal game at CAA Centre on April 16.

All proceeds from the sale of 50/50 tickets will remain in Ontario and go towards the Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund and Ontario Women’s Hockey Association, which will be invested into providing enhanced hockey experiences for girls and women across Ontario.

Last year, the Hockey Canada Foundation Assist Fund benefited 2,349 children across the country, with 39% of assist recipients identifying as BIPOC. The Assist Fund provides subsidies towards registration fees to allow more young Canadians to participate in grassroots hockey programs.

The first jackpot will be won April 5, with subsequent draws taking place April 7, 10, 13, 15 and 16.

Tickets went on sale earlier today and are available for as low as $10 at WomensWorlds5050.ca

In addition to the Women’s Worlds 50/50, driven by CAA Insurance, fans can experience the thrill of the 2023 IIHF Women’s World Championship by participating in a number of free community events taking place at CAA Centre.

Steps from tournament action, the Tim Hortons Community Rink will be open to the public for six days - April 5, 7-9, 13 and 15 – and allow fans to join a free community skate that includes skates and helmets.

On April 10, the Tim Hortons Community Rink will host Try Hockey Day, where new participants to the game can sign up for on-ice or ball hockey sessions and learn about the basics of hockey.
