The Esso brand continues to give back to Canada’s game.

During the latest edition of the Battle of Alberta between the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers on Jan. 11, it proudly presented a cheque for $43,296 to the Hockey Canada Foundation (HCF) through its Price Privileges program.

Price Privileges cards give Canadians cents-per-litre savings on fuel at over 2,000 participating Esso and Mobil stations across the country. On top of those savings, half-a-cent per litre is donated to the HCF.

Over the last four years, the Esso brand has contributed $266,515 through the program, dollars that go a long way to advance the mission and vision of the Foundation – to unite Canadians through hockey – and support initiatives like Dreams Come True and Hockey is Hers.

“What we do as a Foundation would not be possible without the support of partners like Esso,” said Donna Iampieri, executive director of the HCF. “We are extremely lucky to work with so many people who care about the future of our game, and in getting more Canadians involved.”

The Esso brand has been a premier marketing partner of Hockey Canada, supporting the game through programs like the Esso Medals of Achievement and Esso Fun Days, and its title sponsorship of the Esso Cup, Canada’s National Female Midget Championship.
