MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – Canada’s National Para Hockey Team picked up a win in the first game of its two-game series against the United States, doubling up on its cross-border rival 4-2 on Friday night at the Centene Community Ice Center.
• Anton Jacobs-Webb (Gatineau, Que.) netted the game-winning goal just 13 seconds into the third period. • Zach Lavin (Essex, Ont.) opened the scoring less than three minutes into the game. • Liam Hickey (St. John’s, N.L.) contributed a goal and an assist, reaching the 90-point mark with Team Canada. • James Dunn (Wallacetown, Ont.) scored into an empty net and added an assist. • Dominic Larocque (Quebec City, Que.) turned aside 16 shots to record the victory. • The U.S. outshot Canada 18-10.
