2021 IIHF World Junior Championship

The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has announced all games for the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship will be played in Edmonton this coming December and January without fans in attendance. However, there is great news for ticket holders, as the IIHF also announced the IIHF World Junior Championship will return to Edmonton and Red Deer for the 2022 tournament (December 2021 – January 2022).

If you have purchased tickets to the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship and have not received an email from the Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG & Rogers Place) with your current ticketing options, please contact tickets@hockeycanada.ca for information.

Q: When does the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship take place?
A: The 2021 World Juniors will take place at Rogers Place in Edmonton in December 2020 and January 2021 with no fans in attendance.

Q: Where will the 2022 IIHF World Junior Championship be hosted?
A: The 2022 World Juniors will return to Edmonton and Red Deer, Alta., next December and January. 

Q: I have purchased tickets to the 2021 World Juniors. Am I able to keep my current tickets and seats for the 2022 World Juniors?
A: If you have purchased tickets to the 2021 World Juniors, you will be able to retain your tickets for the 2022 World Juniors at no additional cost.

Q: Can I get a refund for the tickets I have purchased for the 2021 World Juniors?
A: Yes. Ticket purchasers received an email on Sept. 17 with ticket options detailed, including the process for a full refund.

Q: I did not receive the email on Sept. 17 with my ticket options. What do I do?
A: Please ensure you are checking both the inbox and junk folder of the email address you used to purchase your IIHF World Junior Championship ticket package. The email subject line was Important World Junior Announcement and was sent Sept. 17. If you are unable to find a copy of the email, please contact info@rogersplace.com for assistance; include in your inquiry both the name and email address under which the tickets were purchased, as well as whether the package was for Edmonton or Red Deer.

Q: Can I get a refund on just a portion of my original ticket purchase?
A: Unfortunately not. We are only offering refunds on the entire purchase.
